We talk

Thirty minutes to understand your industry, your customers and the real vocabulary of your trade. We come away with your analytics access and a picture of what your current pages already bring in.

STEP 02

We map every angle

Every service, every question asked before a purchase, every comparison becomes a page to win. We analyze the content holding the first page, we note the entities it covers, the questions it answers and the depth it reaches. The gap becomes an editorial calendar ranked by value.

STEP 03

We close the gap

Every page is specified before it is written: heading structure, keywords and variations, entities to cover, questions to handle, internal links to place. A writer then produces the text, reviews it against the specification, and its contextual density is calculated before publication.

STEP 04

The phone rings

Rankings climb, impressions follow, and Search Console tells us which pages are working. The ones that stall get reworked using their own data, and the map widens toward the next query.

SEO writing, explained in full

What optimized content is, how it gets built and how it gets measured: everything below answers before the first conversation.

A page that covers its subject better than the top ten results eventually passes them. It is the most reliable mechanism in search engine optimization. What you still need is to know what "better" means for one specific query, and that can be measured before anyone writes.

What is SEO writing?

SEO writing, also called SEO copywriting, means producing content that answers a specific search intent while giving search engines the signals they need to understand the page. It brings together two demands that get treated as opposites far too often: a text that is pleasant and useful for the reader, and a structure that is legible to the algorithm.

In practice, optimized content rests on keyword research covering a term and its variations, a coherent heading hierarchy, title tags and meta descriptions that have actually been written, internal linking that connects the page to its neighbours, and semantic coverage broad enough for Google to recognize the subject being treated. It is one of the four workstreams inside our SEO services, and the one that produces the most durable results.

Why hand your SEO writing to an agency

Writing for search calls for three skills that rarely sit in the same person: knowing what the SERP demands, knowing how to write to be read, and knowing how to measure whether the text worked. In-house, the first one is almost always missing, and the result is quality content that does not rank.

An SEO content agency brings five things: expertise in keyword research and competitive analysis, a repeatable production method, writers who work quickly across varied industries, a review cycle that leaves you the last word, and measurement after publication. All of it turns into pages that capture qualified traffic and gain visibility, rather than texts that sit there.

How we build a page: the data-first method

This is where our approach parts ways with a classic web copywriting service. No page starts from a blank sheet. It starts from a specification built on the data of the SERP it targets.

  1. The analysis of the content ahead of you: its length, its heading structure, the entities it names, the questions it handles
  2. The master term list: keyword variations, domain entities and associated vocabulary, sorted by how often they appear across competitors
  3. The contextual density target, calculated by script on the body text of those competitors, never eyeballed
  4. The structure of the page: the mandatory sections, the ones that add an information gain, and the SERP questions to cover
  5. The writing itself, by a writer who receives that specification rather than a bare topic
  6. The check before publication: density recalculated, term coverage verified, internal links counted, then an editorial review and your corrections
Worth remembering: the difference between a text that climbs and a text that stalls is settled before the first sentence, at the moment someone decides what the page has to contain.

This method comes out of the web properties we operate ourselves, where we test it before applying it to a client site, and out of our study of 200 ranking factors. That is the rule of the team we founded in Montréal: we measure on our own properties first.

The content we write

Each type of page answers a different intent and gets built differently.

  • Service pages: commercial intent, a structure organized around proof and conversion
  • Blog articles: informational intent, depth and coverage of the questions your market asks
  • Location pages: one page per service and per city actually served, never cloned pages
  • Product and category pages: unique descriptions and structured data, for ecommerce SEO
  • Pillar pages and comparisons: the comparison queries, where the choice of supplier gets settled

SEO writing sits inside a broader content marketing effort that also covers newsletters, press releases and social media posts. Our work concentrates on the content that ranks in search engines, Google and Bing alike, and that carries your brand over time. The guides on the blog act as the testing ground for these formats before they land with a client.

A good text with a bad structure loses half its value. The heading hierarchy describes the plan of the subject and has to read on its own. Paragraphs stay short, lists and tables break up dense information, and every section opens with its answer.

Title tags and meta descriptions decide the click from the results page. Internal linking, for its part, circulates authority: a well-placed link inside the body of a text lifts several URLSs at once and helps Google understand which page covers which subject. Lastly, these texts have to sit on a site the engine crawls without friction, which is the remit of our technical SEO team.

Writing for Google and for generative engines

A growing share of searches ends in a generated answer rather than a click. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews compose an answer and cite a handful of sources. Content designed to be cited answers from the start of every section, puts forward verifiable data, and adopts a structure that can be extracted cleanly.

The good news is that these demands overlap with those of search engine optimization: clarity, depth, structure. One well-built page serves both surfaces. The work specific to generated answers is what our GEO team handles.

Artificial intelligence in content production

AI speeds up certain steps: clustering keywords, spotting recurring questions, laying out an outline. It does not replace what makes a page rank, meaning real knowledge of a trade, proprietary data and editorial judgment. A text generated with no material behind it adds one more restatement to a web already drowning in them. Relevance is judged on what the page contributes, and engines and models alike remember the sources that contribute something.

Our position is simple: AI serves preparation and verification, a writer writes, and every page has to contain at least one thing no competitor says.

Measurement: what a text changes in your Search Console

Every published page is tracked individually: rankings, impressions, clicks and click-through rate, compared against the starting point. Google Analytics ties that traffic to conversions, Semrush tracks positions and competitive analysis, Screaming Frog watches the technical state of the pages produced. A page that has not moved after a reasonable amount of time gets reworked using its own data rather than left in place.

That continuous measurement is what lets us put our guarantee in writing: 20% growth in ranking keywords, 20% growth in Search Console clicks and 20% more new customers in the month following the 90 days, or we keep working without billing. In three years, we have had to honour it once. Our case studies show what content production produces over time: from invisible to global in twelve months, from under 10 clicks a month to more than 300 a day, with Search Console screenshots to back it up.

How much does an SEO content agency cost in Québec?

Writing sits inside our monthly mandates rather than being sold by the word, because an isolated page is worth less than a coherent set of pages that reinforce each other. Our ranges are published:

  • $1,500 to $2,500 CAD per month: local small business, single location, limited geographic market
  • $2,500 to $5,000 CAD per month: multi-service or multi-city company, strong organic competition
  • $5,000 to $12,000 CAD per month: ecommerce, SaaS or national market, with sustained content production

Three factors decide how much content you need: the strength of the pages already holding your keywords, the number of search intents to cover in your market, and the state of the texts you already have. Reach us through the contact page: an answer within 24 hours, with a measured picture of your market and a free content audit to lock in the starting point.

FAQ on SEO writing

What is an SEO content agency?

It is a team that produces web content designed to rank in the search results: keyword research, structure, writing, optimization and measurement. What sets it apart from a general copywriting service is that every text targets one specific query and one specific intent.

How do you choose the keywords for a page?

From search volume, from the intent behind the query and from the strength of the pages already ranking. Every page gets one primary query and its variations, and no two pages ever target the same query, so they never work against each other.

How long before content produces results?

The first movements usually appear in Search Console within 30 to 90 days: impressions, rankings, first clicks. On contested queries, expect six to twelve months of continuous publishing.

Should you rewrite existing content or publish new content?

Both, starting with the rewrite. A page that is already indexed and sitting on the second page often climbs faster and for less than a brand-new page. The initial audit ranks your existing texts by potential gain.

How long should an optimized text be?

As long as the query demands, measured on the pages already holding the first position. There is no universal word count: a short definition can be enough where a comparison needs several thousand words.

Agency or freelance writer: which one?

A freelancer works when you already know what you need written and you measure the results yourself. An agency brings the keyword mapping, the specification for each page and the tracking after publication, which changes what the text returns. If your writers are in place and all that is missing is direction, our SEO consultant delivers the specifications your team executes.

Do you produce content in French?

Yes. The North American market has to be worked in both languages, and a word-for-word translation does not rank. Every version is reworked against the SERP of its own language.

Do you work remotely, outside Montréal?

Yes. Our mandates are run remotely from Montréal, for businesses in the Greater Montréal area, in Québec City, Sherbrooke, Gatineau and across North America. Meetings happen by video and content moves through a shared tool.

How do you measure the effectiveness of an SEO content agency?

By how the rankings, impressions and clicks of every published page evolve against their starting point, then by the conversions generated. A report that shows production volumes without those numbers says nothing about effectiveness.

Your competitors are already publishing.

The question is who answers best: the content audit is free, and the picture is measured.
